Won 1st place at Foresters Financial's Development Challenge — a fintech case competition where teams take an open-ended financial-services problem from brief to pitch in a single sprint. Worked end to end: scoped the user problem, structured assumptions, built a working prototype, and presented tradeoffs to judges under tight deadlines. Focused on turning ambiguous business constraints into a clear product story backed by a demo, not just slides. The win came down to problem framing, practicality of the solution, and communicating risk and value clearly to a mixed technical and business audience.

Won 1st place at Jane Street's Estimation Competition — a timed team event built around Fermi estimation, probabilistic reasoning, and structured problem decomposition. Broke open-ended questions into assumptions you could defend, propagated uncertainty instead of chasing false precision, and sanity-checked answers with back-of-the-envelope logic before committing. Under time pressure, the edge wasn't memorizing formulas — it was explaining your model clearly, catching bad assumptions fast, and converging as a team on a defensible range.
